West German Diana Model 38: ballpark value?

West German, so it's AT LEAST 27 years old. Belongs to a friend / co-worker who has had it since new, but doesn't know much about it (or airguns for that matter) I'm certainly no expert on springers, but I bet some of you are!

Has RWS branded 2-7x32 scope made in Japan

# on the barrel is 552492
.177 cal

Its not for sale, but I told him I'd try to find out what it's worth just in case. Thanks guys.

"JohnL57"It looks like a Model 34 variant in a Walnut stock to me. Any used gun is of course worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay regardless of what the Blue Book says. It looks to have some dings in the stock. It's just a guess, but I'd put ballpark value at $300-$450, maybe a bit more if the sling is branded Diana as well
It's definitely a model 38, I'm looking right at it. Sling is a Browning. The wood looks typical of a well cared for older rifle. Scale of 1-10 I'd say 6. Metal is easily a 9. No scratches or corrosion, nice blueing.

Thank you!
