Went to a different WMA this afternoon -

And I'm sad to say, it looks like it's days are numbered - lots of developement creeping closer and closer -

So I hiked to the backside, sat near a group of shagbark hickories, and nailed 3 more tree rats.

The bottle build is dialed in like a laser, no issues with stiction either lol -

My favorite squirrel huntings are in WMA...didn’t know season was already in for Tennessee. I Gotta wait until 9-12 here in Alabama, maybe I should head up to Tennessee!

Yeah, it's funny - I grew up in Mississippi, and when I lived there the season didn't open until mid October. 

Here in middle Tennessee, it opens on the second Saturday of August, which this year fell on the 8th.

But I gotta admit, I'm hoping for an early fall - much prefer cooler weather for a hunt -

I think you can buy an out of state 3 day liscence for not too much $ - check it out & come on up!



***EDIT: I was wrong/confused - The 2020 Squirrel season in Tennessee opened on AUGUST 22 - glad I didn't go hunting on the 8th lol!! lucked out on that one -

Awesome! I do a good share of Bushy tail hunting on WMA myself!!! Season here in Michigan opens 15th of September and I have a new toy coming this week for the new season...it's my birthday present to myself which is on the 9th!

Bought a Daystate Huntsman Regal HR in .20 cal...gonna be a great year in the woods!

In MIssouri the season opens the Saturday before Memorial Day way too early in my opinion but sometimes a guy can find some mulberry trees early that have ripe berries and get in some good squirrel hunting. I prefer to wait until September after it cools off a bit.

September is just around the corner - hope it does cool off by then, but last year middle Tn. had 90 degree weather through the first week of October - hoping we won't have a repeat of that!
