Have you called them on this? I bet he would send you another trigger group. If you send yours back just throw it in a USPS priority envelope. Should only take a couple days to get. I'm sure with an "in touch" company like RAW you could get immediate service.

"Hynzie"gonna call Sandra tomorrow if its gotta go back whats a good pressure setting 1 #?
Mine is perfect from the factory. I use it only on the bench though. If you are hunting with the gun, I think I would like closer to 2 pounds.
RAW should ask or send out a "I want" checklist when the initial order is made. I think it would save on some issues that some have when the airgun is delivered. Some things are not quite clear on options and such.

Lighter then #2 sorry Pat I couldn't help myself but I realy have never checked the 1st stage due to the fact mine have only moved about a 1/8" before hitting stage two which for hunting I like around 2 pounds so I'd say a couple of ounces on the 1st, just enough to know your finger is on it and you can feel it move and hit the wall on the 2nd and then it's lights out for the critter your hunting.

So true, I had to call Sandra back a couple times on mine.

Everyone has there challenges and preferences with triggers. RAW makes a superb target gun which is their main market. Hence the beautiful trigger which some people find very unusual. It gets touched and it goes off. Not everyone has a feel for this. My RAW .30 LRT was like this but now all I have to do is think shot and the gun shoots. Surprise! Hole into hole into hole. Sublime. Its like telepathy. Some folks deal with this better than others. It is not a field trigger but probably could be made into one if you jacked with it enough, loose some parts or put sand in it!

RAW advertises the HM 1000x .357 regulated as "a serious hunting rifle." A serious hunting rifle does not have a hair trigger.

It is not a stalking/off hand rifle in my opinion. I would not buy/use a RAW to walk around with in the woods looking for targets of opportunity. It is a blind or fixed position type of rifle when hunting over a feed plot or bait pile.

You should really discuss this with Martin and see what he has to say. He may have some advice on how to manage your trigger.

Wiser words were never uttered.

+1 w/ scrane very straight forward design.

99.9% love the RAW trigger as issued, everyone who has done any research knows this true match trigger is one thing you are paying for.
99% of people who purchase a true match trigger do not want lb's of pull. You can get it set your way if you order it.

ONLY here and only three persons think there raw trigger wasn't "right" . " No 1st stage" Na. "No secong stage" Na, didn't happen - okay I must admit anything COULD happen- but NOT as stated.
The first advice I always try to give people is "get to a match/club or with other shooter" . THEN you will know what is what, you can actruallu learn facts that way, cool.

Now this is NOT for everyone but, I hunt with a 6-8oz 2 stage trigger on all my rigs. My Target rigs are set an oz. or two lighter.

In general the more informed a person is the more they will enjoy.
