Well no squirrels today i guess

Hiked into my squirrel spot on a friends property and got about 80y from where the feeder is and looked through the woods towards it. Saw what looked like a tire in a tree and thinking is that a black bear cub? I made some more noise and saw something above it move another cub up the tree higher.

Took a quick pic and walked out, happened a couple times last year the mom and a different cub would walk up id make some noise and they'd piss off. But not looking for an encounter with mom.

Ah well, next time.

Got my ancient Nissan/Datsun 720 4x4 back on the road for summer. What a sweetheart of a truck.

Well If there was ever a ‘nice‘ way or reason not to shoot then there it is today! Nice to see a bit of nature! 
meanwhile there will hopefully be more squirrels there as a reward the next day

Yeah not a horrible reason at all, i got 8 once last year but usually none or 1 lately. Less squirrels in the woods than in the city around here.
