Well my new RWS 34 p had all kinds of issues!!

When I first started I Cleaned the bore till it was spotless. When I cracked it open to get to bore it was hard to open I was like hmm, well went shot for the first time and it sounded awful to cock. It was super rough and I could here spring scraping inside. Never have I heard or felt a pellet gun like this.

Well it got worse and worse so I stopped on the 15th shot. I took it to dad he is a expert with these the barrel was way to tight and the stock rubbed blueing off we're the caliber is showing .22 which is because stock wasn't trimmed down enough. So dad made some plastic spacers for room.

Dad took it apart whoever works for rws and put this together should be fired, this was not so called German quality as you here on the forums, he forced the seal in with zero regard for the seal no lube at all he didn't bother to put I single drop of anything inside. RWS should have had better QC than this. Dad tuned it and etc but a Walmat powerline 880 is put together better pics to follow.. and I forgot installed stock screw cross threaded and instead of putting a new one in he just finished forcing it in. Hopefully it will work better but jesus if this is rws quality who would want one if no one pre checked this guys work or gal before it left???

I don't think I'd blame the Germans all that much. RWS is distributed by Umarex, and to be honest, Umarex guns seem to have problems. I've seen other conversations about guns like the Gauntlet where the gun really sucks upon delivery. With some work, they can be made to work really well, but that's not why I buy a new gun.

Umarex's list of guns is amazing. You'd think they'd do better in quality. They distribute Beretta, Browning, Hammerli, Ruger, RWS, Walther and Umarex. More pistol brands are listed as well.

C'mon Umarex, where's the QC?????

I would be upset to have problems with a new rifle too. I'm sorry to hear your having problems with it. But, the Diana 34 has been and still is a best selling rifle for a long time. And for very good reason. I have one myself and have had zero issues with it other than it wanting to shoot into the same hole over and over again. They are known to come from the factory fairly often with a dry compression cylinder which some complain of making a "honking" sound during cocking. But, this is usually remedied by simple lubrication. Also the cutouts in the compression tube will usually be a bit sharp and could definitely use smoothing out to avoid the piston seal being "nicked" a bit during assembly/reassembly. But these are all known peculiarities to the 34, not any real problems that would warrant it being considered a rifle of poor quality. But if you are having the issues you say your having with your particular rifle, I would contact the dealer you purchased it from and or Umarex and have it taken care of.

Best of my knowledge, Umarex doesn't have any factories, it only imports and resells, but as a reseller, is responsible for quality to the end customer. So, for you to get a RWS with the reputation it has, in the condition it was in, means someone isn't doing their job.

Yep my thoughts exactly whoever assembled it didn't care about quality control at all..

Well I shipped it back to air depot yesterday and ordered a hw 95 luxus from AOA. It wasn't just the roughness I fount out from hector that my gun was made right when they were switching factories. So mine was made bye a employee who was getting layed off and didn't care or it was a newbie from the new factory.

My gun was junk there was tight spots in the bore, stock wasn't cut or drilled right. When you cock the rifle it hit and scratched bluing and took one spot in 15 shots down to the metal. Safety was as loose and floppy as a toy gun saftey. Stock was cut to were the stock holes caused screws to strip. For my first ever purchase into the air gun world (high end) guns I wasn't happy. Plus seal was forced into tube with zero cander and no lube....lol when you cocked the gun up and down you could hear foot glide against the spring LIKE a finger up a slinky....it was awful....and I bet air depot will do me wrong and charge me for the shipping back or re - stocking fee...I meen if it's against policy to tear it down how would I be able to tune properly or lube it or check the seal...I don't know what will happen it was not my fault my brand new gun was mistreated from them moving factories. Maybe hector will help me I don't know. I guess we will see, they were out of rws 34 wood stock and have no hw 95 so I got it from AOA.

If you're unhappy, I would return it and get another rifle. Given your initial experience, you're never really gonna like that gun.

I recently received a DRY RWS34 also. I added RWS spring lube and chamber lube. it is now shooting fine. order both lubes and you will be good to go.

Bud you need to check your seal if it has 2017 stamped on the side.

Sorry you had so many issues with your new gun. I have a 34P with 2017 production stamped on the receiver. I have had zero issues with this gun. I've been through this gun several times inside/out and can say it's quality. You either got yourself a jacked up lemon there, or a bad return that was passed on to you. Either way, your rid of it finally. Hope your HW95 comes to you in excellent condition so you can enjoy it.
