Well, I did it - bought me an FX Wildcat .25

I don't have time because of working. However, after I took a couple of shots this morning through chrono, mine was shooting at 890fps (average) out of the box using JSB 25.39.

Is 890fps using JSB 25.4 grain normal or so low?. I have tried JSB Heavy 34 grain but FPS is too low (776fps) .... They performed 1/4" at 25 yards (maximum distance in my backyard). However, I don't have change to shoot beyond 25 yards, so it's hard to find which pellet is good for my Wildcat -.-"

890 fps is about right. You could adjust your hammer tension, to increase the speed but you risk stripping out the aluminum threaded disk as many have already found out.
I am shooting the same pellet at 895fps at 5000 ft altitude and I did adjust my hammer spring tension to adjust for altitude/air density. I think you will be fine where your'e at and when opportunity presents itself to shoot out at 50yds and beyond, I think you will be pleased.
You know the old saying "Speed Kills"! Well don't sacrifice your accuracy for speed as the pellet can be going really fast and have more ft/lbs of energy, but if you can't hit what your aiming at consistently it means nothing. AIMHO.
Enjoy that new Wildcat, I know I'm enjoying mine!

Thank you for response. Do you know the BC for JSB King 25.4 grain shooting ~890fps?.

You can go to AOA and use their calculator. You need a Chronograph. You need muzzle and down range velocities to plug into their calculator.
I have read .032 -.036 and higher, but I have not yet computed for myself. I think there will be a spread due to many variables from gun to gun, chronograph to chronograph, distances from muzzle and downrange, altitude, weather conditions, etc., and would only rely on my own conclusions based on my data.
Besides that, think of the fun, satisfaction, and knowledge you will be gaining, giving you more confidence in your gun! I am 66 yo and have been a hunter/reloader/competitive shooter for over 50. And........ I am still having fun!
