Been waiting for a package from UA since the 25th.. Thing went past me to Chicago and has been driving around the area since Thursday.. Now? No scans since yesterday. I've had enough packages not show up or arrive late or damaged with Fedex that I'm not sure why any vendor uses them at all. Maybe I am just the unlucky one in regards to Fedex but it seems highly unlikely. Just Hoping UA insured it (probably did) and will try to trace it for me. I had a trip planned but now I have to sit around waiting for a package that may never come. Have to see if the deposit on the room can be reversed. Not whining, it's just irritating that's all.

I've had nothing but issues with them too. UPS has been great and even USPS has gotten much much better over the last year. FedEx though? Always late and always banged up.
I've had lost damaged packages with all of them over the years. But there's a lot more with fedex.. Now that they stopped letting you speak to a live agent unless you speak pig-latin to the robot. That's how I got in this morning. Ackage pay-idint day arrive tay. Ooh yay upid stay astards bay.

UPS always seems to be a day or more early than expected for me. I bought a stock for my 97K in the classifieds. It got to the UPS store in CT on Friday and somehow managed to get delivered to my door in PA Saturday at 2PM. It was shipped "Ground" but somehow it seemed to have made it onto a plane at some point. Either way, not complaints from me about UPS lately.

You mean have the thing delivered to the store somehow? This thing hasn't had a scan for some time and is shaped like a rifle case.. Thinking it may be in someone's living room right now.
UPS lets you change the destination after shipment and before delivery. I’m sure FEDEX does the same. Yes, have it delivered to the nearest FEDEX store and pick it up when you get home from your trip

The person at fedex thinks the package is missing. After looking at the tracking updates she said it was very strange. The thing went around chicago for days since Thursday with like too many truck scans. Now it's gone. Meaning no scans anymore.

Not Fedx but i have a sensitive thing on the way ( FX barrel ) it spent the weekend in some Dutch UPS facility but are now heading north thru Germany.
I always get nervous when things stop moving, or the time between some 2 places seen unreasonable.

The only windy City like we have here is the Danish capitol, but parcels from the EU fortunately dont go thru there.

I received a 500mm FX Crown barrel from AofA via Fed-destructX last week. It was in a box about 36” long that had the FX cardboard tube in side it. The box and cardboard tube were definitely creased where it was surely bent. But it was bent a short way after the the barrel. I checked it for straightness. It is perfectly straight. Have to give FedX credit for trying though.
If you EVER ship ANYTHING by any carrier, never, never put a FRAGILE sticker on it. They take it as a personal challenge to destroy it without leaving a mark on the package.

They ALL have their issues from time to time. I think we all can share horror stories as well as pleasant surprises about each one. The thing I do appreciate right now about FedEX is that their tracking is much more detailed and closer to real time than the others. USPS' tracking is not bad but UPS' is horrific, with almost zero information on it (i.e. UPS status just says: "On the way" to city, state, United States" whereas FedEX and USPS will provide much more frequent updates with more detail).

But at this time of year, delays and missent items are sadly the norm so none of it surprises me. Hopefully your package will get delivered soon; we know the anticipation and uncertainty are a killer when you're anxious to get your hands on a new purchase!

My worst UPS experience was a box valued at $30,000 retail, that the pickup driver never scanned. It was loaded onto a feeder truck also without being scanned. It traveled across the US from California to the east coast without ever being offloaded from the feeder truck and thus no additional scans along the way. It was finally scanned in the destination hub the day before it was delivered. I did not sleep well for several days.
