I want new people to feel welcome when they are new. Often times a new person asks about the value of an airgun usually because they are considering selling it. We have moderator/administrators who I believe make the decision of when someone is not following the rules. It is unfortunate when a "non - moderator/admin" person decides it is their job to engage in corrective actions with a new member.
Should we maybe try to avoid negative interactions with our new people? Maybe I am wrong and AGN wants every member to engage in rule enforcement. I am here for the joy of collecting and shooting. Many people seem to think the ten-post rule protects AGN, I just hope the benefit is greater than effectively pushing new people away.
I would enjoy having someone explain to me the value of requiring 10 postings from new members? I remember being treated just as HarryJ HW30 was treated and I felt unwelcome. Maybe we could consider only having the moderators rather than members, tactfully address our 1st time posters.
