WEIRD FLYERS

"Kingquad"For those who weigh pellets, have you noticed after sorting if you weigh the same ones again the weights change even after placing them on the exact same spot on the scale?

It must be your scale. I know with my scale it will read different if the heat is on(forced hot air) or if there is a breeze coming through the window. I tare often and if needed reset/recalibrate my scale with the provided weights. You need to realize that the actual weight of the pellet doesn't matter as much as the scale giving you repeatable results.

I bet it's only a matter of time before we're able to swage our own pellets. There is a little kit you can by that makes pellets out of lead welding wire with a little handheld tool that looks like a modified paper punch. That's junk but there are some really powerful hand operated bench presses for sizing black powder/pistol cast lead bullets. You could control the lead alloy hardness maybe cast in a shot mold then swage the shot into pellets. Same tooling for everything, complete control like black powder cartridge rifle competitors.

Great Chuck! But we'll have to find some investors because I'm saving up for a Streamline. And, not too sure about the office work. See my self as an idea man. To wit: first pellet is super high end. Drop a small shot of depleted uranium on top of the lead shot before you run it through the press creating a denser pellet head accentuating the diabolo design's forward of center weight distribution, increasing BC, stability and accuracy. With your skills there will be zero inconsistencies. I can almost feel the pent-up demand for this market sucking us forward. $100 per tin! Maybe Michael will sell our stuff on the new AGN store page? Peace my friend, Andy
