Weihrauch Wednesday

97k undercarriage shot. I can simply look at this Paul Short engineered art for a looong time🤓

To the left, an older 158xxxx SN 97k action, 26mm internals in .177 caliber. A humble blank canvas that has tremendous potential.

Onwards & upwards! Stay safe and shoot straight. The wind is howling outside. Heading out the door to shoot now.

Short vid shooting my 11+fpe 97k .177 with Paul Short Ti tune, 50 yds seated. Target: Paul Porch woodpecker field target with 1.5” kill zone. Cell phone affixed to a tree, hence the moving about!

1st shot: I wanted to shoot the gust but it calmed down a bit- held for less wind, HIT.

2nd shot, I saw through my scope how a phantom ninja wind acted upon my Teflon lubed JSB; first sucked it up then slapped it down, changing it’s predetermined course of flight- MISS.

3rd shot, a lull- held just outside the KZ, HIT💥.

Yes, I am having WAY too much fun by myself.

Wind be kickin!!! Freaking rain most of the day here and have been being a bum! Lol. and a little tinkering with some guns...cleaned some barrel's, lubed some pellets and now I'm sipping on a beer!!!

More rain tomorrow morning but Friday it on! Nice shooting brother and that is one sweet rig you have there...

Man life is good! Sipping on some vino myself.

In the next few days I’ll put an HW97k action in my solid “one piece” JM walnut target stock; I can already anticipate the substantial feeling of it on the bare knee, and how I’ll feel a bit spoiled after having worked extra hard to shoot a top heavy/“tippy” action in the OEM stock with that super narrow foreend (in front of the trigger guard).

Salud brother!
