Weihrauch Springer line up.

Ok so I have been on HW website and they don’t really say what gun is better than other I know the HW30 is the low power and 50 is mid power but the other are just confusing is the 95 better than 80 and also the 98 on HW website does not really give too much info I just nderstand the 97 77 57 but others not really any information would be appreciated.

“Better” is entirely subjective and user defined when it comes to spring guns. The various HW springers are different in terms of size, power and likely usage. But they are all well built and high quality guns. Whatever model you select, an HW springer will give you many years of shooting enjoyment.

I have owned the hw30/R7, hw80/R1 and the hw97k. The hw30 is a great low-powered target and plinking gun. Very accurate and easy to cock. It is also a capable hunter at distances out to 30 yards. The hw80 is a magnum powered springer. Well suited for hunting and IMHO somewhat difficult to shoot accurately compared to other springers I’ve owned. The hw97k is an underlever cocking gun that is well suited for target shooting or hunting. It is also a very competitive gun for field target shooting. All round, the hw97k is my favorite springer by far. Incredibly accurate and easy to shoot.

Good luck choosing

Agree on "best" is subjective, the reason you will not find which is best on HW's site is it would render all other models irrelevant and crush further sales. I own most of the HW lineup (30, 35, 45, 50, 54, 55, 77, 80, 85, 90, 95, 97, 99) You need to establish what you want to do with the rifle. Is it FT, hunting, plinking, do you need high power, mild recoil, what's you price range, weight, break barrel or underlever...

If a company came out and openly said one rifle is better than another then I would have absolutely zero interest in purchasing any rifles from that company. As it’s proven through their own words that they manufacture inferior rifles.

Yes we understand that the HW 97 is superior to the HW 30 in many categories ... but I still own both and I still love both. It’s simply a matter of understanding the limitations of the rifle. It’s not a matter of one being better than the other. If you understand what your ultimate goal is - there is a rifle being manufactured by Weihrauch for that particular ‘target’.

HW 30 and 50 are both low powered in my opinion. The 95,77,97 are all good mid power guns with excellent accuracy and pretty easy to shoot. The 98 is a fancy field target version of the 95 and the 80 is the powerhouse hunting version and like was said above takes some technique to shoot accurately...all are the best in the Springer world as far as I'm concerned!!

I have the HW 30 in .177, HW97 in .20 and the HW80 with a .22 carbine barrel and a full length .20 barrel that I swap out from time to time. Love them all !!!!

As others have made clear, “Best” is a term relative to how you will use the gun. Otherwise, Mr. Weihrauch would just make one gun, right? 😁

If you are undecided, I would strongly suggest the HW 30/R7 family in .177 cal for your first Weihrauch. It’s light, easy to carry, and easy to shoot well due to the low cocking effort and recoil. It’s a rifle you can enjoy shooting for hours at a time, and share with other shooters of all ages and sizes. And you may be surprised to find that its power level is really just fine for 90% of the legitimate airgun jobs out there.

Springers at this power level are a total delight to own and use. You will always have a spot in your “airsenal” for the HW 30, even if you later decide to add some more powerful models.

Is one better than the other?

Is a beeman R7 good as or better than a hw30?

And what about the beeman R1? How does it compare to an hw80?

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread sir.

Thanks

Ray

Same guns just in slightly different stocks!!!

Beeman is an importer and rebrands the HW line of rifles..
