Recently bought an HW50S a couple weeks ago and maybe 300-500 pellets through it. Every screw on this thing has vibrated loose. Sight fell off. Trigger guard loose. According to these forums, the solution is to put thread locker on, which I did today. Please consider looking into this, because it is very annoying to have to carry a couple different size screwdrivers to deal with this. For the new airgunner who wants the simplicity of a self sufficient spring rifle, this robs the mojo... Seems like a simple step in manufacturing would prevent consumer dis-satisfaction.

This is not a rant I really love the Weihrauch in every other area, and want another one, but this issue is annoying.....

Yeah you don't have to do all of that. Weihrauch beech is a bit soft it seems so until it compresses all the way, they loosen up a bit. Brand new from box, tighten everything down to 22inlbs and then just check them occasionally. The larger trigger guard screw you can actually tighten to 44inlbs.

After a tin of shooting and checking them they stay put. The only thing I do put loctite on is the trigger adjustment screw and have never had an issue.

I assume they torque, hopefully to their spec, but the only screw I found with loctite was the big screw on the trigger guard. Why not put it elsewhere?

They do torque them down but when the wood compresses, the proper torque needs to be re-applied. Like I said, just tighten them down occasionally and eventually it will work itself out and they will stop loosening up.

I dont think they put loctite on any of their screws from the factory, at least not on any of the HWs that I have.

Yeah, you need a wheeler torque driver or just a couple of nice screw drivers to keep things snug. I periodically check the screws on all my guns as basic preventative maintainence. I know your not complaining, but this is a common sense issue.
