With that being said, you will most likely get a myriad of feed back on .177 vs .22 and vortech kit. Knowing what your maximum range is will help on recommending a caliber. .22 is going to retain more killing power past 30 yards. .177 is more sensitive to wind conditions. As far as a vortech kit, I would wait util the warranty runs out on the HW97 and give some time to see if the stock system performs to your needs. If it does, save your money to buy pellets or a springer proof scope.
