Weihrauch HW110 / JSB Hades v H&N Hunter Extreme’s

I know there seems to be a lot of love for the JSB Hades in every caliber. My .177 110 prefers the H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme’s and I do also. I have done some ballistic testing with three .177 pellets for hunting and accuracy. The most accurate in my rifle is without a doubt the 9.57 Hunter Extreme’s. In ballistic gel testing and on game these pellets hit hard and drops game right on the spot. I have a photo of the expanded pellets from ballistic gel and the depth of penetration. Jsb hades was average velocity 910, 5.5 to 6 inch penetration and expansion 2.10, weight 10.34. Barracuda Hunter Extreme’s velocity 950, 3 to 3.5 inch penetration and expansion 2.85 to 3.0 at widest point, weight 9.57. Barracuda Hunters velocity ave 965, penetration 4 inches expansion 2.45, weight 8.80. They all seem to work well but for my guns the Extreme’s shoot and perform excellent. The two pictures shows top to bottom Hunter Extreme’s, Hades, Hunters. I have taken 5 woodchucks with one shot with the Extreme’s. My HW 95 loves them and four chuck’s were taken with that gun. The fifth chuck was with HW110. Accuracy is superb with the extreme’s, not so much with hunters or hades.

That HW110 is so quiet, but the thwack of hitting game is not. It echo's so loudly, but I kind of like it. When game is hit you know you hit them, without a doubt. I don't know if your 12 Foot Pound gun does that or not? My gun is pretty consistent in foot pounds between 18.5 to 21.5 depending on pellet. The Extreme's are right at 20. My gun is most accurate with JSB's 13.43 monsters. The redesigned one is slower than the older design by about 30 feet per second. I was getting 835 to 845 with older design and 800 to 810 with newer pellet. Half inch groups at 50 without an issue. The extreme's just slightly larger but still awesome.
