A month or so ago i was looking in a old Beeman catalog for something and notice at one point they had a .20 kit for the P2 which is the HW75
now if you know anything about me the light bulb went off in my head nothing much their anyway
could a HW45 fit, well not all by itself but in time it could
the barrels are the same length and OD is close enough
the HW45 has a flat spot the index the barrel and the HW75 uses the nose to index the barrel because the barrel clamp, clamps on the OD of the barrel
the front of the 45 barrel has a small ID then the 75 so that would have to be addressed
the front of the 75 barrel has a longer OD reduction then the 45
so now all the work was at the front of the barrel
i made a brass ferrule for the lack of a better term for the 45 barrel, the OD was a simple find the ID would have to be done with an undersized drill bit and then enlarging to fit net, net with the 45 barrel end and 6mm rod and sandpaper was used as a hone
now the 45 barrel needed the nose OD to be lengthened and reduce to mirror the 75 nose OD and this was not hard but getting the right measurement was and i must say my guess worked well
cut the ferrule to a shorter length and a little fine tuning and i had a .20 barrel
i did this just to see if it could be done, not for chrono numbers
it installed and shot as it should
it was an interesting project
and the HW45 barrel will still work in a HW45
pictures, first will be my makeshift lathe all the rest will be as i progressedp
