webley and scott nemesis .177 caliber pellet CO2 air pistol review

I just took my new air gun to the shooting range today. I first tried shooting a birchwood casey shoot n c 12 inch target at 5 yards standing with iron sights .It was piss poor accuracy so then I got a smaller target and put the target in way closer than 5 yards. I think it was 3 inch targets I was shooting at. I could only hit 1 star on it. The magazine had problems feeding sometimes so I will just use the single shot tray from now on. Here is pictures of the targets i was shooting at.

Also I was using 7 grain rws diablo pellets in .177 caliber. I was using JT CO2 cartridges.

Have you checked your front & rear sights?

Make sure they are attached properly

When I got mine, new, the rear sight screws were loose; and the sight was sliding forward & back with each shot

Same with the front sight The screw were loose and the sight could be moved left & right.

Everything you read about these pistols tells you the sights are not adjustable

However, if you think about it; crude, seat of the pants, adjustments can be made.

Sliding the front sight left/right in the dovetail can move the POI. Left to go right, right to go left.

As mentioned, it is not a precise fine tuning deice as there are gradations.

Again, the same with sliding the rear sight forward & back may have some impact (pun intended) but I am not sure

The other thing you can do to check whether the gun is shooting consistently is add a red dot sight.

Sight it in; and then see if you get consistent groups

Hope this helps

Are you sure you’re not flinching? Do you have a proper sight picture? Are you maintaining a proper sight picture when you shot? Are you following through? You’re always posting that you’re shooting standing and off hand. Maybe shoot from a bench with a stable rest to start with and get more consistency. I saw other posts from you when you were shooting a 2260 and you seemed to have had a lot of issues with that rifle. Not sure why you thought it’d be easier with a pistol.

Take a look at reviews on the Nemesis - the sights ootb are a mess. Mine shot at 10 yards with a variety of pellets was POI 6 inches higher and a little to the left of POA. There is no real way to adjust for elevation. I just put a cheap Centerpoint 2x pistol scope on it and shots are starting to come together. It's also taken about 200 shots for groups to tighten up.

I'd like to keep this thread going as I have really been enjoying this gun since I put the 2x CenterPoint handgun scope on it. Here is my indoors 10 yards setup on the pistol - Donny does a great job keeping the report to negligible level.

After sighting it in with a bipod attached to the front I shot this group of 6. 5 in the group and one flier and inch to the left.

The Nemesis really likes the JSB Exact Express 7.87 gr pellets. The chrono at 450 fps which is exactly what the 7 gr Meisterkugeln wadcutters chrono at. If I'm getting the same speed why not use the heavier pellet. I may try a 8.4 gr heavy wadcutter eventually to see how that does.

7/16" c2c on the 5 shot group.
