I wanted a cheap easy and secure method of fitting weaver type rails to my gun without the need for tools or modification to the stock, so I could mount a bipod, lamp, laser or any other type of gun accessory.
while in my fishing shed I came across a spare pair of fishing reel coaster. Now I have used these to fit onto my scopes for PA or zoom adjustment and thought they might be strong enough to hold a rail in place on the buddy bottle
I also found a weaver rail that has a curved base the is almost a perfect fit onto both 50mm and 60mm buddy bottles
you can probably guess how this works, the thumb wheel is big enough to grip even with cold wet hands but small enough not to interfere with the operation of the bipod.
You could securely hold 2 or 3 rails around the bottle with one pair of coaster depending on what accessory you intend to fit.
Total cost £8
