Weather breaks and and a bandit gets FLEXED!!!

Today was a nice break in the weather hopefully the of the snow is gone. With that the critters start coming out. The ding donger went off and to my surprise the were 2 bandits in the yard. I took aim at one and laid the smack down. Hit him in the shoulder and rolled em, while he was kicking I sent another one to shut it down. This gun rocks!!

I had a big old raccoon climbing into my fenced in backyard almost every night. He seemed friendly and I was concerned about rabies. I caught him in a big live trap and took him about 6 miles to the woods. When I turned him loose he did not want to leave. He just looked at me. He was very clean and healthy looking, I trapped and hunted all my life. I know what a rabid animal looks/acts like, And I think he had been some ones pet. Just my thoughts, anyhow he is where he belongs. . Brian Smith <><

"KYAirgunner"That flex looks to be one beast of a gun. If I had the $$ i would probably get one. Those coons have been around quite abit lately I got about 5 of them with my vulcan In This past week. Just a question though why do you go for the shoulder in not the head? Is it just because the gun is so powerful it doesn't matter where you hit him?
Wondering the same. We have a Feral cat problem and seeing these bandits are about the same size as a feral cats im wondering if the heart and lung is better than a head shot.

Shooting a .22 or .25?

Big difference in hunting cat and raccoon. Raccoons have much harder heads and their hide can take a pounding. I had 26 fpe 22 cal pellets ricochet off adult raccoons. For a raccoon at 40 yards and closer I recommend 30+ fpe well placed shots. If your gun shoots the harder pellets accurately I recommend using them. H&N, Polymags or Crosman/Benjamins give much better penetration on raccoon compared to JSB's.

A 20 fpe 177 or 22 cal will kill a feral cat with a well placed head shot no problem.

Check out this 47 fpe JSB 25 cal pellet bounce off a raccoon head.
