We Need an AGN Hall of Fame

" Hall of shame would be vastly more entertaining "

Hall of fame in theory is a good idea but I remember on GTA getting all this PMs from people lobbying to vote for them,...kinda sad to see it honestly.

@Nomadic Pirate 66 It was a random thought as a way to recognize people and laugh at the laughable content. Some members really deserve the recognition as their contributions have proven valuable to many, especially in terms of commonly asked questions. We could use specific stickies by some of these members in their respective forums (where we see some of them post the most significant content). I think it would also cut down on some of the redundancy seen in the forums. If it ever became a thing, I think that it should be left up the the discretion of AGN staff in terms of valued content that helps members, benefits the site, and the greater airgun community.

We got another one.

Man went to fill his brand new .357 L2 with what sounds like a Harbor Freight pancake compressor or something, but it has a valve filling issue.

Man, I really need to start a written “note to self list”, so I don’t buy or mingle with folks like that. Guys like that are apt to come back on here, and offer advice on pcp tuning to someone newer than them later on

Great post
At Mohamed- friendly advice to a new guy- I see that was your first ever “post”. You read the rules and saw that it said 10 quality posts, in order to gain access to places like the classifieds. Just know that this first post of yours probably won’t count as it is not considered a quality post. If you’re truly agreeing that this 3 page topic is awesome then that’s marvy but just know it probably won’t count as a part of your 10

I don’t know what’s going on here, but something seems off. Off enough for Hall of Fame candidacy. These questions man…

Then there’s this guy, Sprintboatbob, that handle’s kinda catchy.

Both from the apple state.

That’s crazy I used to live in Toledo and never met any other airgun people there. What’s he selling?

A Hall of Fame forum (stickies) would be a great way to catalog standard info that some members have a knack for and that many members come in search of. People like @Humdinger and his advice on compressor shopping and operation. @nervoustrig and his advice and instruction on regulator repairs and function (along other things). @JungleShooter and his scope comparison charts. Some of your DIY stuff like those sheet metal pellet traps. I’ve also been told that you know your way around the FX Wildcat. @zx10wall and his Evol and Cricket tuning threads (among other things). @Max115 with his detailed explanation on pesting and hunting setups that he uses successfully. @AirNGasman on brain shots (his spin-off thread was a helluva thread) and competing with air pistols. @Motorhead on how to set up an FT scope. Oldspook on moderator design. @thomasair on BR competition. @Centercut and @Scotchmo on long-range airgun shooting (sure several members can explain this but these guys articulate it well). I could go on but these guys are gold in the forums in terms of heir content and knowledge base.

Here are a few more than come to mind:

⭐ @steve123
Scope conosseur
, reticle designer, with an inside line to wisper airgun recommendations to Athlon, a competition shooter, and sharer of a wealth of knowledge.

⭐ @Nomadic Pirate 66 —and— @AirArcher66
aka Manny
Tremendously skilled and successful wild pig hunter — pigs don't stand a chance — even when Manny shows up with a .177cal springer!
Many more pig hunting stories with photos here, under Nomadic Pirate:

⭐ @Ballisticboy
aka Miles Morris
Professional ballistican with the military, now retired.
Has dedicated a lot of time to explain airgun exterior ballistics — certainly more scientifically founded than some of the hobby ballisticians we see on YT 😄.
Miles has developed two drag profiles for airguns:
▪An improved GA for pellets: the GA₂
▪And a brandnew drag profile for slugs commonly used in airguns, SLG₀
Both of these are available for BC and trajectory calculations with the GPC ballistic package (Android, iPhone, PC, Mac, Linux). Free, here: https://gpc.fotosoft.co.uk/
He has fairly recently joined our forum, he has had thousands of posts on UK forums.

⭐ @biohazardman
One of our resident night vision specialist (recently inactive), cf. his posts with lots of data, comparisons, and tips for NV, e.g.:

This post is hilarious!! Had to put it in the AGN Hall of Fame.

I would def nominate the classified ad I saw last week to dealers. It basically stated what exactly the “ad placer” would pay for a panthera over their (dealer) cost. Aww forget MSRP or map we all know what you pay so I’ll pay you this. That was the basic message. Have to love the internet. Just when you thought you saw every kind of ad. 😂😂
