WC Regulator Noise

I searched the forums and didn't find anything relating to this question.

Have any of you experienced a weird regulator noise when the pressure gets low in your Wildcat? When I let this thing come off the reg and it gets to about 100 bar, I get a very loud report and sort of a squeal... I know this is because there isn't enough pressure for the reg to work properly. But does anyone else get this phenomenon? Just wondering since it hasn't been mentioned here as far as I can tell. It sort of freaked me out the first time I heard it.

I've experienced this on my highly customized (and regulated) marauder. Can't give much help though, my problem seemed to go away during a re-assembly of the rifle but from what I gathered the squeal seemed to come from the breath hole area, its how the regulator sees atmospheric pressure, I believe it was restricted in my case due to some plumbers tape on a connection which created the dreaded squeal, nonetheless I can't confirm the cause or the solution! Only that I have experienced it as well.

A louder report is normal as pressure drops on a rifle due to the valve opening easier and staying open longer during the shot cycle.

I was just wondering if that is something normal. I usually don't shoot down past 110 bar. but I think it comes off the reg at 125 bar. So I only get a couple of shots to recognize it is off the reg. I've just taken to counting my shots out in the tin lid first. That way I just shoot 50 and I know it is down. When I'm out there blasting away at my dots targets, it is easy to lose count. So count them first.

And BTW, if you haven't tried it, you don't need a single shot tray with the WC.. As you shoot, the empty hole in the mag can be loaded one at a time as it comes around. I load the mag once, start shooting the first 4 shots. On the 5th load, the blank hole becomes available. I single load shots in those holes as they come around and never have to take the mag out again until I run out of my 50 shots :)
