Water/Oil separator O-rings

Angel, I had Tuxingcn.com send me this list of O rings because it is exactly the same rebuild kit that came with the hatsan lightning, and I believe the Air Venturi uses the same o rings for their compressors. The green ones to the top right and middle are for sure Viton, as I asked what type they were. They are used in the gold filter towers on these mid range compressors. The Hatsan Lightning and the AV are almost identical with the exception of a few blings and blangs that the Lightning comes with. 

The sizes are listed, but keep in mind the first size shown is the OD of the o ring, not the ID. Being this was the first time I dealt with Tuxing in China, I made sure to verify if the first number called out was in OD or ID, and they told me OD.

I don’t know where you buy o rings from, but I use oringsandmore.com and they list their o rings as the first number being the ID and second number the sectional thickness.

So if I ordered the large green ones from oringsandmore it would be 36mm x 2.5mm. 

The smaller green o rings in the middle are for the aluminum block that holds the activated alumina desiccant granules, and is also what the fill whip is attached to. It’s looking like the Viton o rings are used then for where the highest content of moisture ends up at in these mid range HPA compressors.

The original green ones have the consistency of putty and are only good for single use as they deform and stretch once pressurised. There is nothing special about them. If you have one that is unused, measure it and buy some normal ones the same size. If not, take your filter or cap to an O-ring place. You will probably get a bag full for a buck. They will be more durable to boot.

It's my understanding that some manufacturers in China list o ring dimensions differently from how we do in the U.S.

Are these o-rings specified as O.D. x cross section or I.D. x cross section?
