I bought one of these to attach to my hand pump..
This is likely a a dumb question, but how many of these little discs are you supposed to put inside the tube? Are they meant to be crammed in there till it's full, or does one or 2 discs do the job? I have 3 or 4 in there, but it seems to be harder to pump now, so maybe all I am doing is blocking the air..

I'd appreciate any feedback.

I've got the same filter, uses one "tampon" style cotton filter and one foam "circle." Looks like the "cigarette" filters in your package are wrong size. WM

I opened it up, and actually I have one cigarette filter in mine and 4 discs.. I took 3 of them out now.. The cigarette shaped piece fits perfectly in the end of the tube. To me, it seems like it is the perfect size for end end hole where it slides in.

Could be, here's pics of mine, "tampon" style fits perfectly, too. Yours must be different design, foam circles are pretty light, can't see them restricting air flow. WM

My filter factory set-up is one foam circle, then one "tampon" style cotton inserted in middle of filter, nothing goes in end cap. Could be yours is a different design but if they included wrong size cotton filters and you're inserting in end cap, could be source of restricted air flow. Just a thought, WM

@ronw828 When your pump starts acting hard to operate, (aside from when you're just about up to full pressure) then it is likely that you need to do "regular" pump maintenance. Here's the YouTube videos from the manufacturing factory of these pumps on the removing and assembly of the various parts.

I packed mine tight with molecular sieve in between 2 foam pads.

I also cut the cotton cigarette filter with a sharp box cutter so it sits flat when I screw the cap in.
