Watch out Tuxing twin cylinder

If you get a new Tuxing Twin be aware the electrical plugs need work they are very loose. Make sure each wire plug is crimped tightly as when they come from the factory they may need to crimped a little tighter. A loose fit will arc , and burn. My model the TXED012 Had very loose wires. Just use pliers to crimp , and tighten up the wire connections. Use Seco lube 500 oil , and use distilled water with antifreeze , and something like Royal Purple Purple Ice , or Water wetter for the cooling system. Some guys on the Nation used a dual water pump set up one for each cylinder. I'm using a Walmart 40 gal tote with a 20 gal water supply , but I live in Tucson Arizona one of the hottest places on Earth lol. Even when filling my 6.8L it only reaches 120°F. The cooler these machines the better. OldVet

Given the amount of vibration I am surprised they use press fit and not screw fit connectors.

I've checked mine off and on over the last couple years and they have held up. Usually when I change the oil i check all the connections.
Yes I agree totally I have been using mine since got it new , and be er a problem then this. You gave me an idea maybe I could solder them. When I was filling my 6.8L it kept shutting off. That black push button on the electric box was loose I tightened it down then it kept shutting off at 4,000 it was only 117 °F , so was not even hot.
You got any ideas.

The pressure switch connection would be my first guess.
From the gauge to the control box
The gauge
The wiring
The connection in the box

It works by shorting when the pressure arm reaches the setting arm. Vibrations increase at higher pressure so something might touch and cause shutoff.

I was going to shoot a link to the screw attached connectors but I couldn't find anything. Same press on, but have a screw in the middle to bind them and a sleeve to insulate.

What you can do is put a screw type terminal block on the plate and the a short wire to the plug. That will pretty much eliminate any vibration effects.

Mine is a TXEDM042 been running it now almost 2 years. OV has a similar model.

Keep them cool and oiled and they seem to do quite well. Much faster than the GX series that is always recommended. I can fill a 9L bottle from empty in 75 minutes. GX I saw took 5 hours.

I use a lot of air, usually at night when playing around with my next crazy idea. So I have 3 9L and several 6.8L and smaller. Just topped off all 3 9L yesterday (2) and today. Don't run the compressor at night.

I am sure there is a rebuild or new compressor in my future. 4500 psi is a lot of stress on the compressor. I am a little surprised it has been so reliable for so long. Popped the protection circuit last summer on a 90+f day. Other than that and an aftermarket hose yesterday it has been faultless.

This exactly happened with my Hatsan Lightning and now all the switches have to be rewired… Will get it fixed as a spare…🙏
