I don't know why one would even question whether to pay a $16 bill when one's credibility, credit rating and perhaps business relationship is on the line.
What is the value to you to not have a ding on your credit record for an unpaid bill? What is the value to you of getting UPS deliveries in the future?
This is not something which UPS is doing to make money. They are stuck in the middle, in a constantly changing environment, running to catch up and keep in compliance with Customs Duties policies/law.
Not sure if it’s a scam, I’ll wait for another e-mail with invoice.I don't know why one would even question whether to pay a $16 bill when one's credibility, credit rating and perhaps business relationship is on the line.

Tell them to send a written invoice via snail mail. USPS.Not sure if it’s a scam, I’ll wait for another e-mail with invoice.
This.I took "we" to mean we the majority. In a democracy, majority rules. Unfortunately,, that rule applies even when one falls into the minority.
So the 49.8 % who voted for Donald Trump .... to you are the "American people".This.
“We” the American people, elected a candidate who ran a campaign promising new tariffs.
Under normal circumstances you would be right, but in the past few months there have been several instances of tariffs being imposed, raised or reduced without warning and literally millions of shipments of products have had this done while they were in transit. That's why the current situation is bad for business. Business needs to be able to determine whether something is profitable or not and if tariffs are going way up or way down without warning then they cannot plan.I do not agree that retailers like Huma Air and Krale "have no idea" what tarriffs will apply to the sales they make for delivery in another country. I understand they do not want to take responsibility financial or otherwise for the additional costs and if that was more clear at the time of sale I would not object. But putting a note in the fine print virtually nobody looks at isn't really sufficient the way things are today. I have not had any recent adverse experience, I am just commenting on a not very friendly practice by a few retailers. I've ordered from both Krale and Huma Air and I probably will again but my first choice is to buy from an American company who imports the product and tells me what I owe at the time I buy.
I am pretty sure GX also shipped my CS2 from China after the previous minimum amount for tarriffs went away. They or their selected shipper did not ask for anything extra.
To be clear, including it or not including the tarriff in their prices is not the issue for me. Excluding the tarriff and depending on a note in the generic terms and conditions just doesn't seem completely appropriate.
Hopefully things will settle down soon. I don't think anybody wants to try and track tarriffs that go up and down every few weeks.
Not only are the 50.2% part of “the American people”, so are the additional ~36% of the population who chose not to vote at all. Thats how elections work. We made our bed, now we have to sleep in it. Just because you or I didn’t vote for him, doesn’t mean we don’t have to live with the results. So the 49.8 % who voted for Donald Trump .... to you are the "American people".
How do you refer to the remaining 50.2% of the electorate who voted against Donald Trump?
This, exactly. I have a small manufacturing business I recently started here in the United States but some of my critical raw materials are only produced in specific places overseas. All predictability for my costs went out the window. No idea what I will be charged from one week to the next in addition to my normal costs.Under normal circumstances you would be right, but in the past few months there have been several instances of tariffs being imposed, raised or reduced without warning and literally millions of shipments of products have had this done while they were in transit. Not at all the intention. More about vendors clearly alerting of these costs. Looks like they do say it but they’re less clear than a lot of other places out there facing the same circumstances right nosYeah you got political
lol!Sorry now that my emotionless robot reply is out of my system.....
Welcome to the forum, and what are you upgrading?

Doesn’t mean everything they do is good or not worthy of scrutiny. Good or not I guess is yet to be seen. Skepticism at least is quite reasonableIt’s just “short term pain” in exchange for making America great again.

I look at it as behavioral training, both consumer and manufacturer. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get some cool usa built guns out of it.It's not HUMA air, it is the current administration putting extra taxes on US citizens. There is a good post from Pyramyd air explaining how the tariffs are a tax on the consumer.
