Watch & Discuss the Air Arms ProSport .22 in Walnut!!

I can understand people, especially new to AGN, making the mistake of posting a number in this thread in hopes of winning the prize package. I get excited too when I read the details of the incredible packages put together for each RDW.

But to ace yourself out of the contest from the get-go by posting a number outside of the contest range?! Oy people, wake up and smell the dieseling! $970? OK, you've squeezed it in there. $980? Well, bless your heart and thanks for not increasing the odds against me...

Watching the video, you get the impression that the ProSport gives off a 'sproing' noise. I've never noticed that about my fairly recent TX200, so I'm gonna guess that's an illusion provided by the sound equipment. Even if the noise is bona fide...who cares? The rifle shoots like a laser!!! This is a fine, fine air gun, but would not replace my TX in my stable...however, it would be a worth addition to it! When I bought my TX, I considered the PS, but really, they are two different rifles that share the same powerplant...and for my uses, I believe that the longer rifle works better...but I wouldn't kick the ProSport off my wall for eatin' crackers!!! Good video, love seeing springers being featured, since PCP's just leave me...cold.

It boings, lol. So did my TX200 after about 400 shots. I don't mind. I like it even. Steve

I personally like the TX200 Standard & HC (Hunter Carbine) more, for the following reasons. Please educate me on last reasoning.

A. Fish scale is fancier looking if we’re talking newest model to model comparison.

B. A round cocking bar has got to be more comfortable than a cocking bar with squared edges.

C. I never see any specs on piston ODmm or stroke length so I can only assume they’re identical.

If anyone can tell me why a Pro Sport costs more or shoots any better than a TX200, please do so. That being said I definitely don’t dislike it in any major way. I just am comparing looks & price. A hidden square cocking bar isn’t an upgrade to me. Now if one had Match Grade fully adjustable sights from Williams to Gehman or Centra type, yeah, I’d consider that an upgrade. I know. So just fully adjustable good open sights would be a huge plus in my book on every air gun.

That being said, I wish I’d win it. Oh, and as a left eye shooter I REALLY wish I could easily buy a lefty stock with right side loading port.
