washing pellets

I swirl small batches around in a plastic coffee container with warm water and dish soap and rinse them with clean water in a strainer. Then i do it all over again. Then i dry them in a clean soft cloth very gently. Then air dry. After they are really dry i spray a small amount of pledge in a empty tin and swirl about 20 at a time until they are covered. Then i dry them with a hair dryer. Works great. Very accurate. They stay clean looking longer and my fingers are much cleaner after shooting. So is my barrel. I wouldnt want acetone in my gun.

I have a small ultrasonic cleaner that I use for cleaning brass and metal parts. I wash the pellets in it with hot water and Dawn for 5 minutes. I drain and then put them out on a towel to speed up drying I’ll then put them on a cookie sheet into a oven set at 125 till dry. On occasion I’ll lube with some silicon spray (very little).

Davemac,
Check out my Field Target Tech Channel Episode I on U Tube, where I demonstrate washing and lubing pellets with Kry Tech, and Pledge. Hope it might answer your questions, but I would stay away from the harsh solvents like acetone, lacquer thinner, oderless paint thinner and the like.
