Was raining so I did this today:)

Made outta oak except the legs are pressure treated 4x6s.the oak came from a huge pipe pallet and I've had the 4x6 for about 16 years now.the pallet was free and I don't remember how much the 4x6 was,ooh yeah 3 inch decking screws are about as old as the 4x6.
My guess for cost other than my time today about 20 to 25$.
A decent left hander shooting table that weighs a freekin ton.the oak must have added the bulk of the weight.
Dimensions are 4 foot long,3 foot wide at front and 22 inches at narrow part and 32 inche legs.

"addertooth"Looks great! But then, it is actually a right handed shooter table (if you rotate it). ;)
You'd have to flip it upside down and reattach the legs that way too. -1 accuracy for you, sucker. (kidding! ;) )

Yes, hardwoods are hard because they're dense. I built a pair of nightstands out of Ash a while back and I about threw my back out hauling them up the stairs. Nightstands!

As for moving it, you can put a pair of wheels on the front legs, sideways, just so that they wouldn't hit the ground, but if you tilt it over, you could roll it around.

Even though the lumber is ugly, I'd be tempted to put a few coats of deck stain on it so it doesn't rot out on you. Even though the wood was free, you don't want to have to do it again every couple years, right?
