Was Just gifted a Stoeger X20 .177

A 16 year old kid gave me his Stoeger X20 in .177 today. It had been dropped HARD and had the scope tube bent and front sight destroyed so it was useless to him without repair which he did not want to finance. Nothing wrong with gun even though he reported he could never hit anything with it. I suspect he just could not cope with a springer (not knowing how to hold it) as it shoots quite accurately after I put an old 4X32 CenterPoint scope on it and sighted it in at 25 yards.

When I got back into Airguns after a 30 year layoff....I purchased Stoeger X20 supressor in .22. It took a while to learn how to shoot with right hold, but once I learned I had lots of fun shooting squirrel and targets out to 40 and 50 yds. That was 2 years ago...... Then I bought my first PCP, still have the Stoger and enjoy shooting every now and then. Great gun.

"Beach-gunner"The trigger mod definitely make a difference in accuracy as a lighter pull and predictable trigger break helps with hold and follow through with a springer. The mod I chose was the Charlie Da-tuna trigger.
Ditto. Did you mess with the release weight? I left it stock after reading Charlie's warnings. Just the cleanliness of the break makes it so much easier to shoot. Now that I've shot some lighter triggers though, I think a lighter pull would help a bit too...
