Warm woodshed squirrel

Another hot day here but figured they might be out as it cooled this evening.
Had a couple chances in the woodshed. Blew the first shot but made a decent shot with the second chance.
Lighting was starting to fade so not the best footage. I think I should have reset the exposure setting on the camera.
I’ve been taken to task for using a shoulder shot but it sure seems to anchor them quick and with a complete pass through I can’t see them living long enough to go far. https://youtu.be/jr6gDKXUdDY

Don't worry about the critics. Shoulder shots are very effective. There is a lot more mass to hit, a lot less movement to cause a miss, and any sufficient shock to the CNS and or the heart/lungs will effectively kill the critter post haste. FWIW, my pest rig is about 22 fpe with the Hades. I get almost zero pass through when shooting shoulder/neck. On head shots I often get the rick-o-shet " wiiiinng" . On my permissions I want to reduce the risk of collateral damage so I place captured projectiles higher priority than brain shots.

Pest control is all about the numbers for me.
