WAR Flex Owners?

Pulled out my Flex today in .30 cal and did some plinking with it. It’s been better part of 3 years since I’ve shot it and it still had full tank of air and still held its zero. Was really happy with it, glad I took it out to shoot it. Remember why I enjoy it so much! Any other WAR owners out there that have taken there’s out for a stroll? Just like to here from the other WAR owners if you guys still enjoy yours.
Mine is a .30 cal regulated shooting the 50 grain pellets at 900fps, get around 28 shots before falling off the regulator. Would like to try some of the new slugs on the market with it, maybe something lighter so I can turn down the regulator a bit and bump up my shots per fill.

I had good results out to 50 yards with the NSA 47 grain .30 slugs with a 20" barrel. My partner now owns the .30 Flex.
.25 I still have and yes it hold air forever. I used to shoot the NOE 48gr HPBT slugs that were very accurate @ 50 yards. No place to shoot further. I would try the a .25 slug 26 to 33 grains in the Warp. If you have sizers in .25 I would go with .250" slugs and try some sized to .249 as the War rifles had a tight choke.

I have a Flex that is due to be in my hands on Wednesday. I sold it a while back, then it came back to me. I’m sure glad it did. It has the Cobra regulator and a Cothran valve. Unchoked, it is a great slug gun in .22. It was sent off to Brian at Veradium air for a reseal and cleanup. It was plagued with dirty air. Anyhow, I love the Flex. One of my favorite platforms. Here is a picture of it from when I had it and one from the previous owner with its now equipped 700 tank.

Awesome so glad to see folks still running them. I was thinking of sending mine of for reseal as well, just to freshen things up as it’s the same o rings from the cobra valve install. What did you get charged for yours to be re done?

I’m going to try those slugs that were recommended (NSA). 99% positive I put a .30 cal barrel that had the choke cut off so I could shoot slugs. Trying to find my receipts for it to verifie though as it’s been a while. My flex was the first batch of 10 that came out from WAR back when they put serial numbers on them.

I have always wanted to own one of these, if there was room in my stable theres a couple I have been eyeing in the classifieds. I just can't bring myself to right now, maybe in the future though.

@lisamike92 has owned them too
The WAR is definitely worth a try if you have not previously shot one.

The WAR Flex that I owned suffered the fate of being in my collection at the same time as a RAW HM100X. Both rifles were in .25, and the RAW just fit me and my purposes better at the time.
I would not arbitrarily turn my nose up at one even today.

If you ever see a left handed Flex that is colored bright green, that one shot great for me.
One of those that I probably should have kept......

Just put some 25.39 gr MRD through my Flex tonight. Regulator is set to 125bar. It just sips the air pushing the Monsters at 960fp/s. Very tight 3/8”-1/2” consistently at 50 yards. This thing is enormous though. Definitely a shoot from the bench kind of gun. I’m looking for some .22 mags for it. The single shot tray is getting old.

I thought I had maxed out the power of my Cothran Valve, Cobra regulated Flex at 52fpe with the 25.39 MRD. I had set the regulator to 2000 psi and the max I could get out of it was 960 fp/s with the MRD. Not sure why I thought that was all she had. Boy was I wrong! Upped the reg pressure to 2500 and she started to growl. 😂 I’m sure there is no way the 24” non choked LW barrel would ever stabilize pellets at this speed. Maybe, I’ll check when the weather clears, but I doubt it. BUT, I’d like to throw some heavy slugs through it to see what will happen. Anyhow, not bad for a .22. I think I’ll hold on to this one a bit longer.
