War(cat) on ground squirrels

Was out taking care of some ground squirrels with the Warcat for my girlfriends dad. Got 3 tonight shot 2 through the scope camera but forgot to record one of them. I will be compiling a video when I get enough footage.
Man the warcat really rips them up.

Nice shooting! What ranges? Out in California they're a bigger variety, it requires constant vigilance
to keep the numbers down.

We have 13-lined one here too......mostly found on private property in my area.

Yep, here in California their numbers are exploding, and not only are they bigger, but they can dig some HUGE holes. A lot of property destruction if not controlled.

I was born and raised in Pasedena, but left for the military in 1985.....haven't been back since.

If I still lived there, you can bet I'd be shooting those suckers!!

They’re a fun little target for sure! I ended up getting one more after posting this. The ranges were 8, 28, 34, and 42.

I have a compact coming this week anything worth sharing? How's the recoil? My Renegade .25 HP has some kick in the scope. Any info is appreciated.

The recoil isn't terrible but definitely fuzzes out the scope a little when using the cheap scope cam set up I got on eBay. I recently upgraded my scope cam set up to the side shot and by 25 yards it's calmed down enough to see the pellet in flight.

I have a nice range set up in my yard for 50, 75 and 100+ yards. Rudely, some ground squirrels have taken to digging up my yard, the worst part being around 60 yards out. What could I do except to simply attend to business, right? Since I keep my .30 RAW HM1000x zero'ed at 75 and simply compensate for closer or farther distances, it's almost too simple. This one is the third at 60 yards in two days, each a single shot. He sprinted all of ten feet before dropping like a brick. (Despite hearing the THWACK of the pellet hitting him, I thought he somehow survived by how he took off running, but nope!) Gotta love that .30! This one's a little fatty too. About a foot long torso and thick!
