... wanting a pcp that makes an explosion of ground squirrel guts ... PURE GORE

My Taipan Veteran Long .25cal is awesome on GS and I can't wait to shoot it, every day, but I am getting urges for more knockdown and less wiggling. Currently shooting JSB/FX 25.4 grain and Hades at 900 to 930fps.

I don't want to play the game of buying a bajillion slugs trying to figure out which one will shoot accurately out of this barrel.

Options I've Considered:
1) buy a non-choked barrel for the Taipan
2) buy another gun in .30

I don't want to talk about budget!

Any thoughts?

Maybe try a Benjamin Bulldog .357 shooting NSA hollow point slugs or maybe .35 Predator Polymags. The distance you wish to shoot will definitely be a factor, but I doubt it’s nothing that a tune can’t fix within a reasonable distance. I can’t speak to what it (NSA slugs) would do to small game, but I can attest to what happens to various wooden boards and stumps.

Umarex Hammer .50 caliber will definitely break squirrels in the way you seek. And for cheap too. Plus you get three shots per fill, it’s a no brainer!!

😂 Bigger caliber equals more guts. As long as you can keep the velocity up. But then again they get more dangerous as the weight of the projectile goes up as well. I would think that a .30 or .35 at anything near 125fpe or so with the right VK or Polymag round would be plenty for your escapades though. But that 22-250 was the real answer in turning them inside out or making them just explode.

i'll tell ya what would give that result is if you can acquire some glaser safety slugs, probably in .38 to get the proper sizing, and disassemble them and shoot those slugs ... ive extensively tested those in firearms and the results are staggering, they really are ... something like a rabbit would pop like a balloon in little meat chunks all over the place lol ...
