After the complete tear-down and rebuild of my Terrus .22 I finally took time to do some Chrony work tonight. Four pellet types on test, 12 shots for each pellet type:
H&N Sniper Magnum .22 - 17.9 gr
Crosman Ultra Dome .22 - 19.0 gr
Crosman Premier Dome .22 - 14.3 gr
JSB Heavy .22 - 18.13 gr
H&N Sniper Magnum .22 - 17.9 gr
- High 589.2 fps, Low 563.6 fps, Ave 578.0 fps, ES 25.6 fps
- producing in the neighborhood of 13 FPE as expected
- smooth shot cycle once I modded the trigger for a sub-1 pound break
Crosman Ultra Dome .22 - 19.0 gr
- High 534.6 fps, Low 519.0 fps, Ave 660.6 fps, ES 15.6 fps
- producing in the neighborhood of 13 FPE as expected
- much better consistency in shot speed/energy
Crosman Premier Dome .22 - 14.3 gr
- High 668.6 fps, Low 655.0 fps, Ave 660.6 fps, ES 13.6 fps
- best shot cycle of the pellets thus far tested though the
JSB Heavy .22 - 18.13 gr
- High 572.8 fps, Low 551.1 fps, Ave 564.9 fps, ES 21.7
