There's techniques for barrel bending. As strange as it may seem to folks not familiar with it, the practice of barrel bending is rather common for springers.
In fact, its safe to say the better airgun manufacturers all bend their barrels before final assembly. I know for a fact that Weihrauch does.
I balked at first too when I heard about it. Then I got my D36 and had no choice. Like Beegee says above its a slight bend but it makes a huge difference.
