My Walther LG400 expert match rifle is a dozen years old. Last winter season, I had a back injury and my scores went to pot. I had to quit the season.
Anyway the season will start again in November, so with my back healed up, it was time to start practicing. The LG400 sounded weak, and the offhand groups were terrible. So I busted out my Garmin Chronograph, and 10 shots were 400-450 FPS. Nominal is 550-560 FPS I think.
So I called Walther USA in Fort Smith AR, and they sent me a RMA and shipping label. They called back in less than a week, and a complete rebuild will be 104.00 including FEDEX both ways. I guess turn around will be 2 weeks.
So I think that is amazing to get a match rifle back to spec for so little money.
I also have a Anschutz 9003 Precise, and it is also a dream. But I generally stick with the Walther. Both great rifles.
