HW/Weihrauch Walnut HW95 ??? What gives ???

I received an Email from AOA this morning announcing a walnut edition HW95. I clicked the link right away. I'd already ordered a lefty HW30 walnut, I thought that I'd consider a walnut 95 to boot. However, whereas the walnut HW30 has a very stylish, "custom look" stock, the walnut 95 is the standard pattern stock in walnut. Sorry guys, that doesn't really excite me very much. Wondering why they went in that direction on the 95 and in the other direction on the 30...

Maybe they used the wrong pic in there add? Because I'm pretty sure it's the full butt stock and not that weird cutout style.

It’s the standard Luxus stock but in Waknut. Not a traditional stock like the 30.

You are correct. I should've been more clear. This is what the Walnut HW30 stock looks like. I would've loved to see something similar to this on the 95. It reminds me very much of the old Beeman / Goudy stocks.

Problem is they make you sit up and beg like a dog for a nice stick. Then you wait and see like a good doggie. NOT.

The HW30 walnut is EXACTLY what they need to do on a larger selection of rifles. That stock is magnificent. Mine is rather plain walnut but the design and fit is marvelous. It almost makes up for the catastrophe that is their current stock. I even love the sling swivels.

And you can have lefty or righty....none of the extra cheekpiece crap. The "new" HW 95 walnut, well, gack.

I don’t absolutely dislike the Walnut Luxus stock. But it’s not anything as nice as the 30 Walnut. The thing is, the Luxus style stock demands an optic. The iron sights are useless because the comb is to high. Make the Luxus with a nice muzzle brake and clean without sights then give us the traditional 30 Walnut stock with the iron sights. Duh!

That 30 sweet! Wondering why they have changed them so much in last few years!
Especially to us here in the States. Don't read the forums I'm guessing.

I have a walnut 95 and the stock is definitely a step or three above the standard beech stock. I’m also waiting on a walnut 30N in 20 caliber. I just wish they wouldn’t have added the sling mounts or at least left them loose in the box for those who might want them. I like slings, but I’d like to make sure I need one before I install the mounts. I’ll probably replace the rear with a hidden type once I receive the gun….and I’m really looking forward to it!
