WAKE UP SHOT

Hey guys,

I'm looking for ideas one an old issue. My .25 Crown takes 3 shots to wake up. I have it tuned at 150 bar PW "C" once warm the ave. is 883 fps with the JSB KH. I just over hauled the reg, as suggested by a tech in NC. Still does it. What is strange is, it will do this in the time it takes to fill it. The tank pressure dropped 10 bar over night but that could be a lower ambient. I can't find leaks in the usual places. I had the same issue with a Daystate AW. Any ideas?

Thanx

Dennis

Sounds exactly like what was happening to me.

At 150 you may be right at the tipping point where any creep (which allows the pressure to rise) results in the hammer not being able to fully open the valve. If you have a chronograph, try this:

Let it sit for a minute or more, shoot a 5 shot string and see if the speed increases and flattens out. If so then the creep is your issue.

Try bringing your reg down 5 or 10 bar and see if it cures the issue. Mine stopped creeping at around 145 bar.
