Kinda where I’m sitting. Fairly straight forward decision now I think, so new thread. Info on both welcome, but I really NEED info on the Vulcan. Which one to get? Less open ended than my first post so should be easier to argue your side. Two word responses fine, but a lot of money on the line here, so feel free to put up a long winded rant. I promise I’ll read it. "

Doc, I own 3 thirty caliber air rifles, this includes the Impact X .30 cal with the 700mm barrel. None of these rifles get any use -- I live in a subdivision and the report and pellet impact on a target arouses too much attention. For those reasons I prefer the .25 caliber Vulcan 2 Tactic and the FX Impact X .25 caliber with 700mm barrel.
The Vulcan is a mighty fine rifle, accurate and ergonomic, a veritable workhorse. However, truth be told, I enjoy shooting the Impact more. I believe the reason for this is the easy accessibility of the tuning mechanisms - i.e. the power wheel (hammer spring adjuster), the regulator and valve adjustment. I get a rush target shooting on my 20 yard basement range and hearing a pellet producing 55-58fpe strike a target. Then, when dispatching the occasional bird feeder bandit 45fpe at 30 - 40 yards is sufficient, and the neighbors are never-the-wiser.
Don't torture self over this. Eventually you will own both guns.
