Kinda where I’m sitting. Fairly straight forward decision now I think, so new thread. Info on both welcome, but I really NEED info on the Vulcan. Which one to get? Less open ended than my first post so should be easier to argue your side. Two word responses fine, but a lot of money on the line here, so feel free to put up a long winded rant. I promise I’ll read it.

Lol. Yea. Probably. I do plan to eventually have at least 3 guns. One of these two above, a Lelya 2.0 in 22 or 25, and a hm1000x 357. We’ll debate which small gun and which large gun I end up with in the future. For now need a middle ground all purpose. Not concerned with report that much. Quieter is better from a hunting perspective of course, but I’m not going to have any neighbor issues. Most of my neighbors will be shooting burners and making fun of me. “Oh man why in the (insert profanity of choice) would u spend 2k on a damn pellet gun when u could get a nice AR for that?” I’ve heard this at least 30 times in the last year while researching them.

I hear that all the time to about just getting an "AR'. I have AR's in my collection i just do not want to spend $300 per thousand rounds and (thats cheap end). By the way 1000 rounds go fast in AR if one really use it as intended and im not talking about bench shooting.
Sorry off target with intended subject. I just laugh when folks spend $1000+ a year on ammo on one rifle (and I am one of them) but laugh at buying a $1000-2000 pcp.

This is just my personal opinion, but I would go Vulcan2 from everything I have read they are built tough. I also feel a lot of adjustments leaves a lot of room for me to mess it up!

I’ve already got powder burners too. Plenty. But if I’m going to walk around pesting which I can do where I’m at, even though all the surrounding houses belong to my family members who shoot a lot, I don’t necessarily WANT to make all of the noise I can. Plus I want to hunt rabbits at night and shoot rats at the chicken pens at night. Don’t want to be waking everyone up. Or popping squirrels n coons off my deer feeder without blowing out the woods. When I was a kid my best friend was my air rifle. I’m just partial to them. Their tune will definitely change once I’m popping starlings at 100yds and killing the neighborhood hogs that tear up all their yards at night. The pests have had it easy since I moved away. I’m moving home soon. They better get ready.

You may want something bigger then 30cal for hogs, but talon tunes just posted a v2 30 setup with ronin.

Head shots within 30 yds should do the trick. I’ll eventually get a larger one for more serious big game stuff. I’ll check it out.

I agree. If the 50g JSB will shoot through a goats head it will get into just about any animals brain within reason. Shot placement is key.

True I was more concerned with how close you could get. I’ve seen plenty of farmers put them down with a 22lr.
