Late dusk and this smaller male showed up. The usual pre-opened window and P'tink. Rolled him on the spot, barely a twitch. Will fire up the big green egg tomorrow and do some smoked rabbit!
Good shooting! Do you marinate or just go straight to the grill? I slow cook mine in a crock pot till the meat is falling off the bones. Tried a frying pan once, they came out like rope. Maybe over a slow fire? John
I am trying it on the grill for the first time. I will likely soak it in some red wine during the day, then place on a medium grill heat with indirect heat.
If you can find it, try Allegro (beige label with a clown on it) steak sauce. There is a wild game version. I use it on duck, makes it taste great even my kids eat it!
