Vulcan 3 Power Kit From African Air Ordnance

I purchased one of these power kits to play with on my Vulcan 3 long .306cal and here are my findings on fitment.

Everything fits great except the magazine top plates. They are apparently only designed for .22 cal but can be modified. The screw holes are a little off and the bevels around them aren't quit large enough to let the screw sit flush. This prevents you from inserting the magazine into the gun. Also the o-rings protrude inside the magazine and prevent it from indexing.

The fix
Drill the holes to 3.5mm.
Grind the bevel around each hole a little larger with a 45 degree stone in your rotary tool.
I designed and 3D printed washers to replace the magazine top plate o-rings. File available free at thingiverse.com
For .30 caliber you'll need to grind the loading area to match the original top, otherwise you can only load the magazine from the bottom.

When installing the kit do not use the little debounce spring unless you're using 200+ bar on the reg. It's extremely hard to cock the gun with the debounce spring and black spring installed. It's a little ruff with just the black spring but the manufacturer says it smooths out once the spring settles.

The magazine fits AVS 70gn .306 slugs perfectly now and I'm very happy with the kit so far. I'll try to do some range testing soon.

This kit made 115 fpe in .22 with 45gn slugs.

It's cold and raining here but I just had to try a shot over the chrono. With the reg at 150 and the hammer spring adjuster backed all the way out it did 902 fps with a 70gn slug... NO PING. I'm hoping for another 150fps when I get a chance to tune it.
I'm running a 7mm valve with a tapered seat, peak poppet and modified poppet spring adjuster with the oem hammer. Slightly larger ports.
