Airgun Technologies VULCAN 3 HP sprung a leak. Advice needed.

Hi everybody,
my AGT VULCAN 3 HP sprung a leak, after degassing and while refilling.
air slowly, but audibly escapes from one of a little boreholes on the plenum tube.
there are three boreholes, the leaking one is on the height of the regulator, the one in the middle.

has anybody a clue what could cause it? if so please let me know.
btw, i have not yet managed to pull out the regulator, as i have been a bit shy with using a lot of force.
it certainly does not come out as easy as i have seen in some instruction videos.

thank you.

It's most likely an o-ring that needs replacing or has shifted. Get some silicon grease or lube before you start tearing it down. Sub12 Airgunner has a wonderful teardown (AGT Vulcan 3 Full strip down and regulator testing) on the Vulcan 3, highly suggest looking up his video. As for it requiring more force than you think it should use, I can only say to double and triple check that you're moving it in the right direction.

Oring on the regulator. I picked up a vulcan 3 here in the classifieds and the first leak I fix was the regulator external Oring. It's not a standard dash size. It's definitely metric. I measured the grove in the regulator and the tube bore. I can't remember the size🤔 but I know you can get them on Amazon. I tried both sae and metric Orings that I had in standard kits and it continued to leak. Let me look and see if I can figure what ones I ordered. Rob

Here's a link for a complete rebuild. My 1st thought was external reg o-ring(s) even though I'm not familiar with the V-3. Just the way you described it was the clue. My FX Boss is doing the same thing albeit, very slowly but I know it's the external reg o-rings. Find an exploded diagram for o-ring sizes or just "caliper" the ones that you remove.

On v3 they can be damaged by the threads when installing the regulator into the pipe.
This is what i think must have happened, not by the threads, but by sharp edges of the borehole inside the tube.
because before i tried to pull it out, but was only able to turn it in the tube. so i guess, as others have said here as well, that the external o-rings were damaged. damn, that is a strange level of quality control on the otherwise, pretty awesome gun.

what is the right direction on the HP version?
i tried pulling the regulator out with a long 4M screw that was screwed into the brass set screw, that would be in muzzle/bottle direction. to spread the extra lube that i have applied i was able to turn it and i guess that broke the o-rings (on the inner edges of the reg breathing hole).
