Vulcan 3 700m 25 or 30

I'm debating on the 25 or 30 cal. Would like some input between those 2. Which one shoot better with pellets within 70 yards? Need for pesting bird. I think from reading, it's a great slug gun.

It's my understanding that all the 700 mm barreled Vulcan 3 guns have a non - choked barrel , meaning that probably would shoot slugs better than pellets. I have a 500 mm Vulcan 3 in .25 cal and only shoot pellets (which it does quite well). I don't hunt and therefore do not need much terminal energy to take out a can or punch a hole in a target. I would say that either the .25 or the .30 would meet your requirements.

Then again i have to say WHY do you think you need something larger than a .22 for birds @ only 70 yards ?

I would never shoot a .30 cal airgun at a dairy shooting birds. A 22 is plenty.

For birds? 22 is enough easily ammo is even more cost effective. Now if you throw in raccoons or ground hogs, I’d recommend 25. More than enough power at those distances.

Yeah, it's a overkill. But if i see a coon. I really want a slug 60 percent of the time, but occasionally would like to shoot pellets also

it all depends on what your distance is.
if your interested in a perfect used v3 .25 700mm, i know where there is one available in my area.
i would buy it, but i already have one.....

I have a @zx10wall tuned 25 Uragan and a V3 700 in 30. I don't use either for birds at my permissions unless I'm going after larger game. Pigeons, starlings, and other pest birds are done in with both my 177 and 22!

My distance is anywhere from 30 to 300 yards, but try to shoot under 120. I'm interested in the used v3 25. Let me know. Thanks

I don't think pigeon or starling with feel the difference between a 22, 25 or 30. I shoot at my farm. Once in a while I might see a coyote 100 yards or so. I want a air rifle that could do the job
