I purchased my Vulcan 25 cal a few weeks ago in June. I've gone through a little over 700 pellets since and the gun has amazed me with its performance. I've been hunting and shooting since my childhood and got re-introduced to air guns about 12 months ago. Purchased a springer in February and shot it often and upon learning from various forums the accuracy of PCP's....well I took the plunge and WOW. Anyway here is my target from today as I stretched the Vulcan out to 100 yards.
The manometer shows 180 bar and I'm using Air Arms 25.4 grain Diabolo Field pellets, shooting from prone position using Harris Bipod. First shot to lower right of the card board using 50 clicks of elevation on the Hawke sidewinder 4026 6.5 x 20 half mildot scope. Adjusted scope 8 more clicks and let go shots 2, 3, 4 and 5, there is a 5 to 7 mph wind at 90 degrees. Point of Aim (POA) is the bull and the shots drifted right of bull as you can see. Started holding to the left of bull 1/2 mildot and let go shots 6,7,8, which landed just above the bull's eye. Last and final shot number 9 screwed things up....I guess the wind let off or I just pulled it...$%#@!
Shots 2, 3, 4 and 5... 1 inch CTC not a bad group at 100yards.
Shots 6,7,8.... 1/2 inch CTC and I Likie that!!
