VT-3 vs. Veyron QQ

could some of the members who have had both, or more than a few of both, comment on quality control from either company?

i.e. if i find them for the same price, just go which ever one is more aesthetically pleasing (or in the case of discovery, has a reticle i prefer.. i have not seen alternative reticles on the veyron)?

is there also anything else out there in the $300 and lower market that can compete while maintaining a compact size?

The VT3 is brighter and clearer and has a nicer SWFA SS type reticle IMHO. The Discovery HD would be my preference that has illumination and appears to also have even better glass.

The Alpha6 smokes both (and the Discovery HD) of them in every which way imaginable includingincluding the $300 and under price except it's a SFP and may not be as compact nor light weight as you want.

i'm willing to sacrifice some visual quality for a smaller lighter package. looks like i'll be settling on the discovery hd. thanks again!
