I've never heard a big bore PCP (I know they're loud) and I know spring guns don't even belong on this list, but my Beeman Kodiak .25 dieseled TWICE in the back yard in our subdivision and I thought the cops were going to show up.

Did you ever look into getting a Donnfl to quite it down?I only heard one pcp gun so far, being new to the sport. So my vote wont weigh much. My Max 357. I had no idea it was so loud when I bought it. I have to run a chop saw when my neighbors landscapers are cutting his lawn on Fridays to use it for 30 mins, so not to draw attention. I am waiting now for my AEA HP in 22 to get here anyday to really enjoy the sport.
Yeah it's a neat gun, my friend Steve has it for an Elk hunt he put in for. Things a friggin monster, the newer version will be much more refined.I have so much want for one of these

I'm going to take a wild guess about 25, I fill to 3500.How many shots can one get having a full 45 minute scba tank with them?

That's funny because I specifically came to this thread to see if someone would mention a braked Thomas HPX, yep it's confirmedMy .357 power tuned Benji Bulldog. So loud without Donny Ronin that ear plugs or muffs are required. Sounds like a firearm .30-06. Honorable mention goes to the .22 Thomas HP-X that Steve M shot at the Oct 2020 TexTreme Benchrest. It was so loud no one would shoot with him.
For me, the Sheridan EB pistol proved just too loud for home use, even when compared to Crosman pump pistols. Probably due to its shorter, low friction barrel releasing the pellet too quickly before exhausting all the gas. Its venerable big brother Sheridan C at 17ftlbs would go off like a Rimfire on 8 pumps but would do both sides of a rats shoulders at 8 yards.
JACK HALEY .58 BOMMER , 1 of only 4 made . I own Jack's personal rifle. That's funny because I specifically came to this thread to see if someone would mention a braked Thomas HPX, yep it's confirmed![]()
