Looking for some opinions on Vortex scopes. Are they a good scope for the money? Any specifically recommended or to avoid?

I have been using their Philippine made scopes with success.
I have 6 scopes and for one of them I used warranty claim.

I like the one I have. It is a cheaper model but it hold zero very well. I have some hunting and shooting buddys who will not buy another optic. I think that they make a great optic. There is a reason that a good amount of prs shooters use a vortex, however those are probably out of most of our price ranges.

If you don’t want to click turrets, they’re decent. The more expensive you go, the better they are, but the cheaper Chinese built ones are spongy turrets, scratchy focus and parallax rings, and feel a little cheap. That being said, my crossfire 2 is rated for magnum springers (I originally had it on a Diana 460 mag) and the glass is pretty damn good for the price!

A Vortex Viper PST is on my competition service rifle and I compete at the highest levels with it. The Viper PST's have proven to have better tracking than almost all other popular scopes, except for Nightforce and March.

@madeintheuk That’s the one I have. I have it on a 22-250 and have never had any issues. I suspect properly mounting it plays a big factor in my success with it.

I have 2 diamondbacks and they serve me well. One malfunctioned on a magnum springer, and when they replaced it free of charge (great VIP warranty) they informed me I had crushed the tube by overtightening the rings.

I have two Diamondback 6-24X50 and a Viper. For the money I think they are terrific scopes. The company is owned by veterans and the scopes have an unconditional lifetime warranty.

I have a 24 power diamond back as well. I use it to hunt prairie dogs and dial up and down for almost every shot. The turrets are awesome and the glass is clear.

I had a Crossfire on a AA Prosport, the ability to focus went out after about 5k rounds. They took it back and sent me a new one, no questions asked. I also have the cheapest Viper, its decent but a comparable Luepold has a sharper image. That being said I am ordering their Golden Eagle to give it a try.

I have a 4-16 Diamondback. It's all around a good scope for the money. As mentioned the only real gripe is the turrets are a bit spongey for a tactical scope.
My Primary Arms scope has much better turrets at half the price. The only thing that stopped me from buying another one was the Mrad reticle MOA turret combo.
