Vortek PG3 HO Diana 34 install questions

I purchased this and the unclear "instructions" are inadequate. I even emailed the maker and was told to refer to the instructions. Can't you just answer my question?

Anyway it appears you remove the " spring, guides, washers, thin metal sleeve". Do I reinstall the thin metal sleeve (with the washer in front) that goes inside the power piston and outside of the new spring? This is all I need to know and any advise would be appreciated. If you have any other tips please pass them on as well. Thanks

No,it should be left out.

Plus,don't go hog-wild with the lube!

A D34 doesn’t have a piston sleeve. They’re probably about the most simple springer to work on. Pull out the spring/guide, slide the new Vortek kit in its place with a thin coating of grease, reassemble.

Thank you everyone. I spoke with someone just now on the phone who was very helpful (as you others were). Got it figured out now. No piston sleeve, beburr before inserting piston with new seal, and above all use a spring compressor! (I made one to take it apart.
