Vixen Standard .22 Arrived.

I am getting 60 shots @ 800 fps 16 grain on a 300 bar fill. At just under 100 bar it falls off reg & you can hear it & the pellet drops quick. 60 shots ain't bad.

Tried the Donny Tanto .25 cal, on it in place of the factory shroud. Not a good idea, but now I know. IMO the Tanto just cant handle the volume of air, & was extremely loud. The Tanto really does not fit it correctly as the front end of muzzle bottoms out in the Tanto & you still have lot of threads left on the shoulder. I first thought the factory shroud might not be fully utilized, but I now think it is doing a good job, with the amount of air that it takes to drive a pellet that fast in such a short barrel. I need to shoot some more to be sure, but my preliminary thought is this is the most accurate rifle I have & reminds me of my old Colibri in accuracy.

Just got mine today, .22 standard. I had the same idea Nutcracker, thought I'd try another moderator just to see (hear). Figured it might be slightly louder, WRONG, much louder. Didn't take long to figure out that was a bad idea. Mine's shooting the 16's in the 780's-790's but very accurate. Unfortunately their is a crack on the plastic sleeve the goes over the tank on mine. Hopefully Tony will get me squared away. It kinda reminds me of my old Leshiy original only a repeater without that long slow folding motion to cock it. Everything I always wished it was. Kinda a cross between a Leshiy and a Airforce only better in every way

Congratulations.. Happy Shootin..😄

I'm surprised, as big as the shroud is, that they're loud at all.

Are they not backyard friendly ?

Was expecting the same thing, with that giant shroud I was expecting near silence. But like I said earlier, you have a lot of expelled air thrusting a pellet 800 fps in a 10 inch barrel. I imagine that the Vixen Long is quieter. I do have quieter guns, but think I will be using this one more.

its pretty quiet really i think you here the hammer more as its by your ear trigger is great but still trying to get that creep out of it i can get a single stage out if it thats i bet 5 oz i bet the long is way more quiet kinda wish i would have gotten the long for little more power but for inside 60 yards it a hoot to shoot i never filled to 300 bar yet but at like 270 bar i get almost 4 mags seems like mines off reg at 130 bar to the gauge

I just got the vixen long. It had quite a bit of creep. The two screws that are exposed are only pull weight and first stage take up or pre travel take up. If you remove the grip and trigger guard, there is another screw which is the sear adjustment. I had to turn that screw in clock wise a bit. It eliminated all of the creep. Great trigger now!

You guys just have to much money, I just bought a Uragan because I could not wait on the VIxen , Oh well water under the bridge,,,, Maybe next year, AGT makes some quality stuff.

Mike

If you have a Uragan you don't have a reason to look at a Vixen. Your rifle is a better one.

Unless u want something lighter. The uragan compact might not be too heavy, but the full size one is a beast to carry. I carried mine one day in Natl FOREST. Sold it, almost felt sorry for the guy. THE only fault in the Vixen I find is the limited power.

Thanks for that info. I never knew. While I had very little creep from factory, I now have none. Possibly the best trigger I have. Really it is awesome.
