Vixen has landed !

Hello,

 

My Vixen has landed ! This is the short version, caliber .177 and i put on it an Hawke Red Dot 1x30.

I could shoot 12 magazines of 15 pellets for a total of 180 shots from 300 bars to 110 bars... (160 advertised)

Pellet velocity (JSB Exact 8,44 gr) is 245 m/s (803 fps) for a total power of 16 j (12 fp).

Quality fabication is as good as Uragan, it is absolutely beautiful and robust.

Its lightness is surprising ant it is made to shoot without support.

It share the same filler plug as the Uragan and a Yong Heng compressor fills the 250cc of the bottle in less tant 2 minutes from 0.

You can see in picture 2 the hammer spring setting, in picture 3 the bleed screw and not pictured there is the trigger setting accessible from below.

Unlike the Uragan everything is adjustable without taking it apart.

Yes, .177 short is 16 joules.



As one bottle fill can do 180 shots, il will try to set the regulator a bit upper to match 150 shots (10 mags) with a little more power (as i've done on my Uragan set at 53 joules for 120 shots on one bottle fill)

Absolutely, most of the sound is produced by the impact. The Vixen is as quieter as the Silenced Uragan.

Is the regulator externally adjusted?

I dont think so. Perhaps If i remove the bottle i would have access to the regulator but at this time i don't know. There is 3 allen screw near the bottle input.

Please give feedback about ergonomics (position of face in regard of the scope) and about your feeling in regard of long lasting of the piece attached to the air bottle that rest in the shoulder.

I live in France and i get it from Mundilar in Portugal. They have some units in stock not yet published on their site but they take orders by mail.

WOW, that is a lot of shots. These may to be more popular in .177 than .22. If you discover how to adjust reg, let us know? Thanks for sharing.

Did you have the option to purchase the magazine holder clip attachment we saw in the pre sale pictures?

Yes the magazine holder is an option wich is available for 55€. But i'm not fan of it looks and add weight.

Buy an Ataman AP16 (wich was what i've looked before i baugth the Vixen and get 6x more shot count by fill and 2x more pellets by magazine)
