I got Vixen 2 short .22 caliber.

Here is some pictures, measures and etc. If those also help some one else.

It feels nice and shoot well.
Pistol grip feels hard and slippery, so i need to chance better one.

I try keep it light and make it more silent.

It shoot little to loud.
Now it has huma ait MOD40-4/0 Avalanche with extra modul + felt.

It would need adjust to shoot little lower speed.

This is how it shoot out of box.
300bar to about 100bar 46 shot.
Jsb hades 15.89gr .22

Huma-air moderator is borrowed for uragan 3.
Scope is also for borrowed another gun.

That is too bad that the sound was high - I remember when the Vixens first came out how effective their big shrouds were. But - you have taken care of any noise issues. I really like the effectiveness of the Huma-Air moderators.

I guess that the Mk2 Vixens both have a little longer barrels? I think that your muzzle velocity out of the box is excellent! My original Vixen Standard really didn't seem to want to push a 15.89 gr pellet above about 780 fps.

Vixen 2 discount price was only +106€ more for orginal Vixen, so i had to take it.
Original Vixen would have little shorter with 250mm barrel and Vixen 2 has 310mm barrel.
Longer model barrel is 400mm/500mm.

Power for that original model would be ok for me, but because those upgrade i did choose new model.

For my use i need to get it more silent and that was not big surprice.
So it need some moderator and tunning that speed little lower.

I also like those Huma-air moderators.
They can have also M14x1.25 tread and they are easy to clean or service.
Spare parts are available if need.
Length can also adjust very easy.

Barrel have now carbon fiber cover pipe.

Reg has now turned for little lower power.
Not sure if it still need tune just little more power what it is now.

Hammer adjust in this seems to do very little or feels like it do almost nothing different for fps.

It did give 95 shot for 300-110 bar.
Average 795fps.

Pellet what i shoot is Jsb hades .22 15.89gr.
Best speed for those should be 840-870fps.

It really need new pistol grip and need to choose bitween Ergo tactical or Forma grip.
Never be chance to hold those hand so hard to make final desision.

Uragan 3 and Reximex RP feels very nice for my hand.
My hand is not big and glove size is 9.

Also need to find filler port dust cover.
Strance that they dont come with gun like Uragan 3.
Sure those have different price, but still should come with both.

Scope is also what that would need.
Some point Hikimikro lite was one option and it would be also light.
Now feel like DNT Zulus v2 hd 5-20 is much better option if i really go for digital scope.

That Vixen 2 rail system is not best for those Dnt zulus style optic mout, because magazine will hit that scope mount.
It may need to raise few mm for that rail.

There is black pencil marks were that was before tune.

Nice looking rifle. For the size of the shroud on those seams like a miss being loud. Honestly they should have made it into another air tank. I don't understand the purpose of that size unless it's doing something real special.

That shroud is big and sure there is still sound on it. There is M14x1.25 thread so it can fit moderator.
Same thread is also at end of barrel.

It is way more less loud as Hatsan flashpup QE for example without any extra moderator on it.

That how loud sound is depends quite much for how everybody feels it and what is need to be.

It is very possible that i like more extra silent what many others like or need to have.
I dont want disturb my neighbor when i shoot.

Vixen is designed more hunting and that kind use.

Maybee Agt did want to make it beefy looking gun what is ligh and very accurate.
Also it is easy to modify for what kind each want it to make.

It seems to be very popular little air rifle.
Sure it not the one and only for all.

Only good that there is lots of different models, so everybody can have what suit them best.

Vixen have now own Huma-Air MOD40 Avalanche moderator.
That is same model what was borrowed at Uragan 3.
This moderator did also need one extra modul chamber and add felt for all modul.
I did test first without that extra modul. After felt mod i did also test without extra modul.
For my linking it was better with that extra modul.
There is now 5 modul at use with felt.

Also did test with stock shroud + only 2 piece huma moderator. It was pretty quiet. There was not big different what was without stock shroud and with 5 piece huma modul.

I did buy Forma laminated pistol grip with beavertail.
It feels nice, but hand need to be little lower for that grip what i have used.
When hand is lower that grip it fit hand nice.

Still Uragan 3 is better for my hand and more grip what that laminated offer.
If someone know what pistor grip is very close that uragan 3. I really would like to know what that is?

Because hand is lower for that grip then buttplate will rice too high for shoulder.
Buttplate try to slip up and position is not steady.
Scope mount is low and it would be maybe better with higher mounts.

Need to test hook buttplate when it will arrive.

New butt plate feels very nice.
Still can test more fine tune those wings position.
That is with bag rider what can remove.

Blue tape is from AGT original butt plate and need to remove.

The FX guns that use the shroud as a tank (drs, leopard) are way more loud because they lack a shroud for the air to disperse.

The bigger the shroud the "quiter" it should be.

I agree it should be near silent but I hear complaints about it being loud. If I still need a mod I'd rather have it hold air and use a mod.
